That big chunk about to be turned. • This is the biggest piece that I have turned (18”x28”) and was the impetus to finally assemble this Conover lathe. I was gifted this lathe by @emmalee_mcdonald’s family. It was her grandfathers which he used to make, among other things, toys for her as a child. It’s an honor to own it and great to finally get it assembled and back to work making things. And, also great to increase my turning capacity for more projects like this!
